WHY learn about falls prevention through dance for older adults?…because for older Australians:

  • Over 6000 die every year as a direct result of a fall
  • 1 in 3 fall once or more each year
  • Falls are the leading reason for hospitalisations
  • Falls cost our health system $2.5 billion each year

This professional development will equip participants with specific evidence-based dance strategies for working with adults and/or older adults to optimise the benefits to positively impact falls prevention.
