We are delighted to share with you the publication of the peer-reviewed open access article about the research on the RIPE Dance approach which Gold Moves Australia shares in its training.
We are excited and honoured to be working with this esteemed team of researchers who are world leaders in healthy ageing and falls prevention.
The research involved nearly 80 of our participants who completed detailed questionnaires and 20 who were interviewed in depth regarding what keeps them attending classes.
This research confirms that participation in dance can contribute significantly to healthy, happy ageing.
“It doesn’t feel like exercise”: a realist process evaluation of factors that support long-term attendance at dance classes designed for healthy ageing, by Abby Haynes, Anne Tiedemann, Gail Hewton, Julie Chenery, Cathie Sherrington, Dafna Merom and Heidi Gilchrist, published in Frontiers in Public Health, section Aging and Public Health.
